The new NEO XD LR HYBRID, that was first presented at drupa, is the first flexo press that is prepared for production with solvent-based, water-based, UV-LED and EB ink systems on many different printing substrates. In the event of changes in the market, the press configuration allows alternative dryer systems to be retrofitted. 
This gives users maximum flexibility and cutting-edge technology. With up to 12 printing units, printing lengths of up to 1,200 mm, a maximum printing width of 1,650 mm and a maximum printing speed of 500 m/min, this CI system, which has been further optimised in terms of automation and ergonomics, is suitable for a wide variety of requirements in flexible package printing.

The option of upgrading the press with additional individual printing units using flexo or gravure printing technology extends its performance range. True-to-register printing, varnishing, coating or laminating in recto and / or verso printing are thus possible.

Through its configuration in the area of the printing units and the option of retrofitting alternative dryer technologies, the NEO XD LR is the first true hybrid press prepared for processing solvent and water-based, UV-LED or EB inks. The consistent use of one inking system as well as combinations of different inking systems on the central impression cylinder and in in-line follow-up aggregates is possible for many different printing substrates. This gives users maximum flexibility and cutting-edge technology.
A newly designed safety concept with transparent, secured doors made of protective glass improves working safety, accessibility and handling. New design solutions make the changeover of anilox roller and printing sleeves easier and faster with large web widths and printing lengths. Some of the set-up operations can be carried out while production is running. The wide range of automatic reel stands makes customer-specific press configurations possible.

Touchscreen panels for entering data and commands can be moved from one working level to the other, thus facilitating the interaction between man and machine.
The "pipeless" doctor chamber is highly appreciated by users, as it allows unrestricted access. Setup and cleaning processes are thus made significantly simpler and faster.

AIF Auto Impression Flexotecnica
The "AIF" auto impression setting system allows fast production startup without special print marks. Setup waste is reduced to less than 30 m

The EVO XD is the all-round flexo press for individual demands in the field of flexible packaging printing. Robust engineering, a large central cylinder and practical automated processes form the basis for a high level of productivity and your economic success.  
The central-cylinder EVO XD press can be equipped with 8 or 10 printing decks, with the option of integrating further single flexo or gravure decks. This allows additional processes, such as coating, varnishing and laminating, in one press pass. Cutting-edge, efficient drying systems with an energy-saving ventilation system permit the handling of solvent- and water-based inks at speeds of up to 400 mpm (option 500 mpm). Even radiation-cured inking systems (UV / EB) can be processed with optional equipment.

The EVO XD is a universal printing press designed for processing plastic film, paper and board in a variety of print run lengths. Extra inks or coatings can be applied to both sides of a substrate with maximum register accuracy with additional single flexo or gravure printing decks. Flexo EVO XD s/n

Printing short run lengths economically

The EVO XD S/N is a new press concept designed at meeting growing demands for printing short run lengths economically. The CI press equipped with 6 or 8 printing decks stands out through its compact and robust design and a acknowledged high print quality from KBA-Flexotecnica whilst keeping the capital investment low.

A raft of new technical features as well as intuitive operation keep makeready times to a minimum and enhance productivity. Wrap-around labels, shrink sleeves, lidding films etc. are printed cost-effectively even in small print runs with the EVO XD S/N.

Whether film or paper, the dryer especially designed for this press guarantees good results at speeds of up to 350mpm. There are a raft of options available for tailor-made EVO XD S/N press configurations

Flexo Press EVO XG

Top productivity and quality, even with large printing lengths

The EVO XG is a highly automated flexo press for processing film sheets, paper and cardboard at production speeds of up to 600 m/min.
Systematic automation as well as sturdy and ergonomically well thought-out design allow top performance in quality and productivity. Its exceedingly smooth running, even at maximum speed, guarantees extremely stable register behaviour.
The EVO XG can be configured for 8 or 10 printing units as standard. In the EVO XG LR version, this CI rotary press is also available with a printing length of 1,200 mm. With the EVO XG 12, KBA-Flexotecnica is the only manufacturer worldwide with a CI flexo press with 12 printing units.

In all versions of the EVO XG, solvent as well as water-based inks can be used, as well as curing inks (UV / EB). The configuration of the EVO XG with additional individual printing units using flexo or gravure printing technology is a further option for extending the performance range of the press. True-to-register printing, varnishing, coating or laminating in recto and / or verso printing are thus possible.
