The major manufacturing center represents a world-class concentration of state-of-the-art design and production technology and includes all major production processes: flexible lines for machining large parts, multiple-function lathes, gear shaping and die molding, sheet metal stamping and forming, metal plating, chip mounting, robotized warehouse, plastic injection molding, and more.
Horizon leads the field in automated post-press equipment that is tailored to short-run and on-demand production printing. Solutions are designed to serve both conventional offset and digital print markets. Horizon collaborates with the major digital printer manufacturers to develop near-line and in-line finishing systems for high-speed cut-sheet and continuous-feed digital printers.
Production in-line systems with collating, binding and trimming have been developed for high-volume book work, producing thousands of books per hour. Large-format folding machines are also produced in support of offset-printed book manufacturing.
The Horizon pXnet bindery management system can be deployed with or without a JDF workflow to provide highly-efficient management and connections to MIS, prepress, and pressroom.
