Dantex was founded by brothers Jerry and Richard Danon in 1967 and its origins lie in the field of industrial textiles.
By 1970 the company’s textile activities had been replaced by the sale of specialized Flexographic rubber plate materials.
This business developed in such a way that 7 years later Dantex became the European Master Distributor for Toray Industries Inc. in Japan; and a year later the Sole Distributor for the Konica Corporation.
In 1988 Dantex launched Aquaflex, a range of specialist water wash photopolymer plate processing equipment and shortly afterwards this led to the supply of electronic equipment to the pre-press market. In 1998 Dantex introduced the Toreflex water wash flexo plate and 2 years later sold the Lithographic Division of the company in order to make way for the expansion of its activities in the label and flexible packaging markets.
In 2006 Dantex was appointed a Direct Distributor for EskoArtwork and supplies a full range of plate imaging equipment together with associated industry standard workflow solutions.
